'06 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Available in two trim levels, the 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer is also available in two wheelbase lengths. All models also feature a four-wheel drive and a four-speed auto transmission.

The base model is fitted with an I-6 4.2 liter 291 horsepower engine, but can be further upgraded to a Vortec 5300 V-8 overhead valve 5.3 liter engine that produces 300 hp and 330 pounds-feet of torque for both the standard as well as the EXT models.

The 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer S model features a third engine type – the more powerful V-8 6.0 liter engine that churns out 395 hp and a massive 400 pounds-feet of torque. This new SS model has been added from this year to the Trailblazer family.

Four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and airbags are standard features. The car rides beautifully on-road as well as off-road and has adequate engine power to tow a wagon over long distances, especially with the V-8 engine.

'05 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

A more civilized class of SUV, the 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer is a mid-size SUV that has powerful brakes, a rigid chassis and an updated suspension to provide a versatile drive that can easily handle both on-road as well as off-road travel.

The 2005 TrailBlazer is fitted with an I-6 4.2 liter engine that churns out 275 horsepower along with a sophisticated four-wheel drive system and a six-cylinder inline engine.

The series features three-row seating and accommodates seven people. This year sees better fuel efficiency in its engines with GM’s patented Displacement on Demand technology that promises 8% better fuel efficiency.

Dual front airbags, side curtain airbags that have a rollover sensing system, and ABS add to the safety of the 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer’s ride. A new occupant sensing system has been introduced from this year that senses a front passenger. The interiors have been given a brighter look, and seating has been improved.

2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

For the 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, a facelift was in order from GM. A brand new front fascia completely restyled and interior trim were included on the higher-end LT models.

Another major change included a new option in the lineup, the new 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS sporting a 6.0L V-8 Vortec engine producing 395HP and 400FTLB of Torque.

A new heavy-duty 4-speed automatic transmission rockets the 2006 TrailBlazer to 60MPH in 5.8 seconds with a quarter-mile time of 13.5 seconds at 100MPH. A cold-air intake system, ZQ8 sport suspension package, performance-based brake system and optional All-Wheel-Drive system make the 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS one of the highest performing sport utility vehicles ever.

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

The 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer is one of the most innovative and powerful vehicles in its class, with a 4.2L Inline-6 engine putting out 291HP and 271FTLB of torque.

Featuring a Double-Over-Head-Camshaft design with Variable Valve Timing, it’s easily known why this TrailBlazer has previously won the North American Truck of The Year award.

The engine is an all-aluminum block and head design and gets up to a 20MPG EPA estimated highway gas mileage. Active Fuel Management is available on the 5.3L V-8, turning off half of the cylinders during light-throttle conditions and idle to conserve fuel.

The 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer sits on a wheel-base of 113” and comes with a 4-speed automatic transmission as well as Rear-Wheel or the ever-popular optional Four-Wheel-Drive configuration.
